Group members have been working hard to rid our canal banks of Himalayan Balsam. This is an attractive pink flower which was intoroduced by the victorians but has now become an invasive species. We are pulling the plant out at the roots and leaving it to decompose. Visitors to the towpath are asked to help by spending a few moments removing any plants they see.
Join us on August 8 from 9.30am for a couple of hours as we work to pull up this plant. We shall be meeting at the Nadee Restaurant in Heath Lane.
