The planting of our new Jubilee Wood alongside the Trent & Mersey canal has now been completed. Volunteers from the community, group members, 1st Findern Brownies, the Payback Team and staff from the Canal & River Trust planted over 1000 native fruiting trees.
This woodland is only one of 60 Jubilee Woods which were planted to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
This project was funded by the Woodland Trust and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. Thanks to them for enabling this project to get underway.
